Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial contract in East London. Working on behalf of a well-established facilities management provider, you’ll be responsible for leading the maintenance operation on-site, overseeing both planned and reactive works. You’ll also be mentoring and guiding an on-site apprentice, making this a great role for those who enjoy sharing knowledge and developing junior engineers.This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in building services maintenance and a passion for high standards. The ideal candidate will be electrically biased with a multi-skilled approach and proven experience delivering reliable engineering solutions within a commercial environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out and oversee PPM and reactive maintenance across all building services systems
  • Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm Systems
  • UPS, Motors, and Generators (on/off load testing)
  • HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, CRAC units, VAVs
  • Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, and Sprinkler Systems
  • BMS Operation and monitoring
  • Ensure safety compliance by isolating plant and systems as required
  • Organise and supervise subcontractor visits
  • Complete site paperwork including logbooks, RAMS, permits to work
  • Mentor and support the on-site apprentice
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance activities and updates
  • Use PDA system to raise and close jobs in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in building services maintenance
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive, positive attitude towards service delivery

Salary & Package:

  • £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
