Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Levenshulme)

Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a motivated and empathetic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This role is ideal for aspiring educational psychologists, SEN specialists, or those considering a future in teaching or child and adolescent mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs, including those with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs

Help students develop social, emotional, and behavioural strategies

Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and external professionals

Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

A Psychology graduate (2:2 or above) with a strong interest in child development or SEN

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Calm, patient, and resilient, with a passion for supporting young people

Previous experience working or volunteering with children or vulnerable groups is highly desirable
