After School Club Key Worker

• Location: Fylde
• Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (negotiable), 15:10 – 17:30
• Contract Type: Part-time

Join our team as an After School Club Key Worker and contribute to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for pupils. This role is crucial in supervising activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the well-being of all children in accordance with school policies.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise and engage pupils in a range of fun, age-appropriate activities after school.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in line with school values.
• Prepare and organise resources for planned activities.
• Provide support for homework or quiet reading sessions where required.
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers during pick-up times.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns to the Club Leader or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s development.

Desirable Skills:

• First Aid qualification.
• Food hygiene certificate.
• Previous experience in planning and delivering activities.
