A Birmingham based mechanical contractor delivering high-quality mechanical services including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework to the construction industry. With a strong portfolio of projects across Commercial, Education and Healthcare projects.

Due to expansion, there is now an opportunity for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the project delivery team. Reporting directly to the business owners, the successful individual will oversee all operational aspects of each project, ensuring projects are delivered wihtin the time frame, safely and within budget

Responsibilities include ;

Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple mechanical projects.

Lead project planning and resource allocation to ensure smooth delivery.

*

Manage and mentor all site supervisors, and subcontractors.

*

Liaise with clients and main contractors to maintain strong working relationships.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards.

*

Monitor project budgets and timelines

*

Drive continuous improvement across operational processes

The successful individual ....

Proven experience in a senior operational role within a mechanical contracting or MEP environment

*

Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services in construction

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

*

Sound knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and best practices.

*

Commercial awareness with strong contract and financial management skills.

*

Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management).
