White’s Bakery & Cafe is an award winning family owned and operated full line retail bakery with 4 locations in Brockton, Hingham, Mansfield and Wellesley, MA (opening Fall 2018). Everyday at White’s we offer a large assortment of breakfast pastries, occasion cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pastry, grab and go savory food, deli items and more.
As part of the White's Bakery management team, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling, training and hiring/recruiting.
- Creating a positive culture aligned with White's values
- Fostering a positive customer and community engagement
- Placing and tracking orders
- Assisting customers in an fun and informative manner
- Profit and expense control
- Product Merchandising
- Fulfilling orders from corporate headquarters daily to ensure the store has proper inventory
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment- including all machinery, general equipment, workbenches, ingredient containers, and perform any small preventative maintenance duties on a regular basis
- The ability to lift large amounts of weight repeatedly (upwards of 25 lbs.)
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment while not sacrificing quality control measures.
- Self sufficiency and the ability to troubleshoot situations independently
- MUST have wide open availability during the extremely busy holiday months of November and December.
We are seeking an individual who will run the store as if it were their own business, while still maintaining and following the guidelines set fourth by the COO and other management.
White’s also values and encourages individual and team creative efforts. We maintain a seasonal rotating offering of all of our products, and the ability to test and implement new recipes is an integral part of our business. Recommendations and suggestions from management, all store front employees and most importantly customers is encouraged, as our goal is to provide the customer with they want and satisfy their needs.

Requirements/Preferences: Previous management in either retail or hospitality is strongly preferred, but not required. Weekends, holiday times and early morning availability are required. SERVSAFE or any other relevant food safety training courses are a plus, but not a requirement.
