We are working with an industry-leading company based in Wellingborough, renowned for their commitment to quality and excellence. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Repair Technician to join their dynamic team.

Your responsibilities as a Repair Technician:

* Perform reactive maintenance across a variety of industrial sites.

* To dissect equipment using a variety of tools such as angle grinders, band saws, mag-drills, Dremel's and hand tools with a “nondestructive” approach in keeping with engineering best practices.

* Conduct full physical diagnostics using bespoke diagnostic tools.

* Carry out in-depth troubleshooting to identify and resolve software- and firmware-related issues.

* Provide remote technical support and diagnostics to customers globally, aiming to resolve issues without the need for site visit escalation where possible.

* Facilitate the calibration of products to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and specifications.

* Complete detailed service reports and documentation for all on-site and remote support activities.

* Liaise with customers with the highest level of customer service to provide clear technical explanations, updates, and guidance throughout service processes ensuring relationships built on facts become unwavering.

* To advise customers on the most economically viable resolutions.

* Support continuous improvement by feeding back technical issues and service trends to the product and engineering teams.

* Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental procedures during all service activities.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, diagnostic equipment, and industry best practices through ongoing training.

* Collaborate with colleagues in and outside of the service department to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient task completion.

To be successful as a Repair Technician you will have:

* Experience in a service department in an engineering company

* Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools, specifically cutting equipment

* Experience using diagnostic tooling.

* Interest in engineering and factory/production operations

* Calibration Knowledge

* Able to work in a close-knit workshop environment

* Able to lift 25KG unassisted
