We are seeking a dedicated Production Planner to join our clients Supply Chain/Operations department. This role is crucial for providing accurate and timely information to execute daily production plans and support strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring all products are delivered on time and in full, maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Generate daily and provisional production plans using a planning system, ensuring alignment with machinery availability and agreed run rates.
  • Continuously evaluate forward forecasts to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to align production plans with customer demands, including volume fluctuations and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Maintenance and Prep teams to ensure the availability of all necessary materials and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot planning process issues, devising solutions with the support of team members and other business areas.
  • Participate in daily meetings to communicate actions and updates effectively.
  • Liaise with the Production department to ensure appropriate labour allocation for production activities based on run rates and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a planning or purchasing role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including lookups, ifs, and range formulas (skills will be tested during recruitment).
  • Proven ability to solve problems effectively and adapt to changing business environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Keen attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience with planning systems is highly desirable.

Please note, this role requires 100% on-site presence with a shift pattern of 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Planners are expected to be on-site early to prepare daily plans based on customer orders. Consider your availability and preference for this shift before applying.
