SEN Teaching Assistant Role

A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Cheltenham is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of an extension.
You will be providing tailored support to children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), global developmental delay, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Additionally, you may be asked to assist with personal care and support pupils with physical disabilities as needed.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has prior experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting

Maintains a calm, patient, and resilient approach when working with children with additional needs

Possesses effective behaviour management techniques and a caring attitude

Has a good command of English and Maths (minimum GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)
