Job Description:

An outstanding SEN secondary school in Greenwich is looking for flexible and committed Supply Teaching Assistants to join their team on a day-to-day basis, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEN support staff who enjoy flexible work or are looking to gain further experience in a specialist education setting. You'll be joining a highly supportive, skilled team focused on providing the best possible care and learning environment for students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students aged 11-19 with a range of PMLD and complex needs, including physical disabilities and sensory impairments.

  • Provide personal care and support with mobility, feeding, and medical routines (training can be provided).

  • Follow tailored learning and care plans under the guidance of the class teacher and therapy teams.

  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.

  • Be flexible and able to adapt quickly to the needs of each class or student.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly PMLD or complex needs.

  • Comfortable with personal care and manual handling duties.

  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach with a positive attitude.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Availability for short-notice, same-day bookings is a strong advantage.
