Maintenance Engineer - £42,000 + Call-Out Payments

Location: Largest site of its kind globally
Hours: 6am-6pm, Conti Shift (Days)
Holidays: 29 days
Pension: 5%

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias? (We're flexible: 60/40 or 70/30 either way.) We're recruiting due to major site growth at the business's largest global warehouse operation - an environment that offers strong training, genuine progression and long-term stability.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of industrial and warehouse equipment, including:

🔧 Electrical & Mechanical Equipment

Fridges, sensors, relays

Motors, inverters, pumps

Chains, bearings, belts

Hydraulics and general mechanical systems

💼 Additional Info

1 in 3 call-out rota, paid at £35 per call-out

Full product and site training provided

Clear progression path into senior roles over time

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Engineering Supervisor

What We're Looking For

Background in food, FMCG, warehousing, or similar fast-paced environments

Refrigeration experience is a major advantage

Strong multi-skilled competency (both electrical and mechanical)

Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement

Salary: Up to £42,000

Overtime / Shift Allowance: Not available
