Piling Recruitment Group is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading ground engineering contractor renowned for delivering high-value, multi-discipline schemes across the UK and Ireland. Our client works on complex projects involving geotechnical solutions, civil engineering, marine, and tunnelling works - and can operate as a principal contractor, joint venture partner, or specialist subcontractor.

They are now seeking an Estimator to join their Projects Division, playing a vital role in the preconstruction phase of challenging, large-scale ground engineering and civil works. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation in geotechnical engineering and a passion for collaborative, solution-led delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Support the management of incoming tender enquiries, including prioritisation and strategic review.

*

Work closely with technical, operational, and supply chain teams to prepare compliant and value-engineered cost proposals.

*

Contribute to internal risk reviews and identify mitigation strategies at the bid stage.

*

Write and present detailed tender submissions to clients.

*

Attend client meetings and negotiations, ensuring smooth handover to operations after contract award.

*

Maintain tender records and client intelligence in Salesforce CRM.

*

Assist the Business Development Manager in identifying future opportunities that align with the division's offering.

Required Skills & Experience

*

Civil engineering or geotechnical engineering background - degree qualified preferred.

*

Extensive knowledge of the UK geotechnical sector, with practical experience in pricing techniques.

*

Understanding of ground engineering disciplines such as diaphragm walls, piling, and grouting.

*

Familiarity with geotechnical design processes and construction methodologies.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across disciplines and present confidently to clients.

*

Effective time management, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce, Primavera P6, and Candy is advantageous.

*

Full UK driving licence is essential.

Location & Travel

*

Based out of the Camberley office with a hybrid model (minimum 3 days office-based).

*

Travel to client offices, project sites, and other regional locations will be required.
