Core Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the Curriculum: Plan and teach engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspiring Creativity: Foster student's creative writing and critical analysis skills.
  • Effective Assessment: Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Departmental Contribution: Take an active role in departmental meetings and wider school activities.
  • Student Well-being: Promote the well-being and personal development of all pupils.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • The ability to teach English to GCSE level with confidence.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
