About the Role
My client, a leading manufacturer in Pontypool, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team. The company operates with a reputation for quality and innovation, delivering industry-leading products within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all financial operations including month-end and year-end reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Manage and improve financial systems, including the use of Sage Intacct finance software
Provide timely financial analysis and guidance to support business decision-making
Lead internal controls and audit processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficienciesCandidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing or construction-related industries
Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct or other Sage accounting software is highly desirable
Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferredBenefits
