Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of autistic adults? We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team in London.

In this role, you’ll work closely with individuals—both one-on-one and in small groups—supporting their personal development, independence, and social inclusion. You’ll be based at our adult centre and also work out in the community, helping learners build confidence and life skills through tailored activities and support.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Provide support, care, and teaching as identified in learners’ individual learning plans and curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions and activities to support the development of knowledge and skills.
  • Provide behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that cause barriers to learning and quality of life.
  • Ensure effective personal care for learners, promoting acceptable levels of hygiene and supporting participation in social, leisure, and educational activities.
  • Support learners to access employment opportunities and facilitate decision-making, promoting individual empowerment.
  • Collect, record, and analyse data on learners' progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Administer medication once trained, in accordance with policies and procedures, and handle medical emergencies appropriately.
  • Complete key worker responsibilities and manage daily learner records, including activity logs and finance logs.
  • Lead off-site trips and manage daily lunch rota.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in adult care and community-based services.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience working with adults who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Comfortable supporting personal/intimate care needs.
  • Ability to keep calm in high-pressure situations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Passionate about helping others learn and develop skills.
  • Experienced in leading and using initiative, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Desirable: Experience in Behaviour Analysis and its application within adult social care.
