We are currently partnering with a long-standing client to recruit an experienced Financial Controller for a well established. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a fast-paced environment and play a key leadership role in driving financial performance, control, and insight.
The successful candidate will lead a small finance team, take ownership of internal and external reporting, and be instrumental in enhancing financial processes and controls. You will also work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic support and analysis to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts in line with group deadlines.
Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
Own the cash flow forecasting process, regularly updating based on current data.
Lead, manage, and develop the finance team.
Support non-financial stakeholders with relevant financial analysis and insight.
Report directly to the Finance Director, highlighting key financial trends and risks.
Manage the annual audit process and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Oversee the production of statutory accounts and corporation tax submissions via external advisors.
Champion the continuous improvement of end-to-end financial operations.The Ideal Candidate
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with prior experience in a similar role.
Proven ability to lead finance operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong technical knowledge and a track record of improving financial controls.
Excellent communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
