A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Balham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from September.

The role:

Full class teacher responsibility in Year 2
Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Preparing pupils for end of KS1 expectations
Working closely with support staff and phase leaders
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environmentThe ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Have a clear understanding of phonics, early reading and writing development
Be committed to raising attainment and supporting all learners, including those with additional needs
Work well as part of a team and contribute to wider school lifeThe school offers:
