The post holder will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing and progress of all pupils in a year group. We are looking for the very best person to guide and support a year group to excellence.In this role you will report directly to a Teaching Key Stage Leader.The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent communication and leadership skills in order to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies
• Have high expectations of students and what they can achieve
• Have significant pastoral experience
• Have a strong understanding of strategies which address barriers to learning
• Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection with the ability to manage complex student needs with professionalism and care whilst being part of a wider safeguarding team
• Be able to develop and drive new initiatives and innovate practice
