CIVIL SITE MANAGER - CARDIFF (132kV Substation)
Location: Cardiff
Contract: 6-12 months minimum
Rate: £400-£500/day (flexible for the right person)

The Opportunity
We are hiring a Civil Site Manager to lead the full civil build-out of a 132kV HV substation supporting a large Solar & BESS connection scheme.
This project has not yet started construction — ideal for someone who enjoys establishing a site from day one.
Designs have been completed, and you will be responsible for delivering the full civils package through to energisation.
Responsibilities
* Lead civil engineering works for the complete substation build
* Manage site operations, subcontractors, QA, H&S, and progress reporting
* Coordinate with ICP teams, private connection interfaces, and non‑contestable works
* Maintain control of delivery timelines and site productivity
Experience Needed
* Civils background on 132kV (or similar) HV substation projects
* Strong site leadership and construction management capability
* Experience with ICPs/DNOs or HV contractors
