We're currently recruiting alongside a leading provider of compliance and maintenance services to the fire alarm, security equipment and electrical industries across the country, who are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer to join their team within the Kent area, providing the successful applicant with a nice rural coverage area, keeping them out of busy London working and traffic.

Based in West Sussex, my client has been providing compliance and maintenance services to the fire alarm, security equipment and electrical industries within the local authority and social housing sector for the past 30 years, boasting an excellent reputation in their field, both with employees and clients alike.

The role for the Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer will involve;

* Performing routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems in local authority and social housing properties.

* Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with fire alarm equipment and components.

* Conducting regular testing to ensure the proper functioning of fire detection and notification systems.

* Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

* Responding promptly to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions, taking part in the company standby rota on a 1 week in 8 basis.

* Handling sites within Kent postcodes.

The successful applicant for the role will be required to have the following;

* A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role, and competency in servicing addressable fire alarm panels.

* A full UK Driving License, due to location of sites.

* Ideally FIA Foundation or FIA Units 1 & 5, or IFEDA qualifications in fire alarm servicing; other qualifications will also be accepted, but must be fire alarm related.

This role offers a great remuneration package, including;

* A basic salary from £30,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, reviewed after probation.

* Contracted at 40 hours; overtime paid at enhanced rates.

* 20 days' annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
