Join a dynamic team as an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 9-month contract basis and play a crucial role in managing the full AP function.Company Overview: Located in the heart of North-West London, our esteemed client is renowned for its commitment to excellence. With a rich history and success, they offer a friendly and welcoming working environment.Position Overview: As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions. From invoice processing to payment reconciliations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the financial processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address AP-related queries and issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and optimisation initiatives within the AP function.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Posting of credit card and employee expenses.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have working experience of Sage 200.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
