SEN Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs, KS3 & KS4) - Harrow - Full-Time - Temp to Perm

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in Harrow. This role involves working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4 who have complex needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

• Support students with complex learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning plans
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist with personal care where required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times
• Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation
• Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 students
• First Aid certification (valid and up to date)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and resilience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Experience with complex needs and challenging behaviours
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support
• Experience using communication tools such as PECS or Makaton
