We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a lovely secondary department at a seconary school in south birmingham, supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a welcoming and inclusive all-through school, part of a successful multi-academy trust, where staff work collaboratively to provide a supportive and inspiring learning environment for all students. The school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing and ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed. 

The Role:

• Supporting students with SEND within the secondary setting
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities to meet individual needs
• Supporting students’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and engagement
• Working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have prior experience working with children or young people (essential)
• Experience within a school setting is desirable but not essential
• Have transferable skills from roles such as youth work, coaching, care, or support work
• Be patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting students with additional needs
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
