Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to oversee the financial health of our client’s organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day ledger management, producing accurate management accounts, leading the budgeting and forecasting process, and managing cashflow to ensure financial stability and strategic growth.
Our client is looking for someone who has experience of Xero.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads
- Monitor and manage cashflow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and liaise with external auditors
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements
- Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance role
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, and cashflow management
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Studying toward a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
