Job Title: IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer
Location: Omagh (Northern Ireland)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role
This role is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and ongoing improvement of IT infrastructure and associated security controls. The position combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with security responsibilities, ensuring that systems remain available, resilient, secure, and compliant with recognised standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR-aligned controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain core IT infrastructure.
Ensure systems remain reliable, available, and performant.
Support servers, networking systems, and core services.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Implement and maintain security controls across the IT environment.
Support endpoint protection and monitoring solutions.
Assist with vulnerability management and incident response.
Ensure systems align with internal policies and recognised security standards.

About You:

5+ years' experience in an IT Infrastructure or Security Engineering role
Strong knowledge of: Windows Server /Active Directory / DNS / DHCP
Understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, switching, routing)
Experience supporting security controls and endpoint protection
Strong troubleshooting and incident handling skills
Familiarity with ISO 27001 or security audit processes
Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Security or ITIL
