Associate Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / MEP / Consultancy / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

This role is to join a thriving practice of mechanical and electrical building services design engineers, they cover a range of projects in sectors including pharmaceutical, education, industrial, financial, hotels, leisure health and residential.

You will be a mechanical design engineer at either at senior or associate senior level and upon joining will become part of a highly supportive team environment where you'll feel like a trusted, valued professional and colleague from day one. Responsibilities

* Establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works and provide information for cost plans.

* Run projects from inception through to completion,

* Monitoring engineering resource requirement for each project within your control.

* Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion.

* Maintain client and design team relationships.

* Reviewing and commenting on information provided by contactors/sub-contractors.

* Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.

* Have a strong awareness of Low Carbon design.

Experience Required

* Proven experience as a mechanical design engineer within building services.

* Preferably degree qualified.

* Chartered or a desire to become chartered would be beneficial.

* A consultancy background.

* Experience of a range of different project types.

* Knowledge of British Standards.

* Excellent communication and written skills
