Control & Automation Engineer

To £60k + Flexi-time, Pension & Healthcare
Worcestershire based role. Ref: 23572

Control & Automation Engineer - The Role:
· Write FDS Documents for customer sign off.
· Write & commission Software for Test Rigs using Siemens and Beckhoff PLC's.
· Create LabVIEW and other UI front ends.
· Assist in the engineering design process to select suitable controls and instrumentation.
· To provide technical information to assist in the generation of technical manuals.
· Perform panel tests.
· Commission new machines. This includes completing initial power up checks, IO checks, setting up valves and instrumentation.
· Programming VSD's and Servo drives.
· Leading Factory and Site Acceptance Tests with customers.
· Development of new and existing installations.
· Staff and customer training.

Control & Automation Engineer - The Person:
· Engineering Degree.
· Experienced in PLC and HMI software development.
· Ability to program various HMI's.
· Ability to read complex electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
· Strong ability to communicate and work well within a Team.
· Experience with working with Beckhoff and/or Siemens PLC's.
· Experience with creating test scripts and LabVIEW front ends.

Located in Worcestershire, this role would be commutable from Bromsgrove, Royal Leamington Spa, Redditch, Worcester, Evesham and surrounding areas.

Role would be suitable for experienced Automation Engineer who is keen to work in a small team, alongside the MD to develop leading edge technology for some of the largest Aerospace companies in the UK.
