Panel Remortgage Executive

Reports to: Head of Conveyancing / Practice Manager
Purpose of the Role
To manage and progress panel remortgage transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring compliance with lender requirements, internal procedures, and service level agreements. The role supports the firm's panel status with major lenders and contributes to the delivery of efficient, client-focused legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of panel remortgage files, including title checks, redemption statements, and registration of charges.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, brokers, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently.
- Ensure all lender panel requirements are met, including use of platforms such as LMS and Lender Exchange.
- Respond to deeds chasers and manage post-completion tasks including submission of AP1s and SDLT returns.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes using the firm's case management system.
- Escalate complex issues or complaints to the supervising solicitor or practice manager.
- Contribute to internal reporting on turnaround times, compliance, and file status.
- Support the team with administrative tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in residential conveyancing or remortgage work, ideally within a panel environment.
- Strong understanding of the remortgage process and lender requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with clients and third parties.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- Familiarity with LMS, Lender Exchange, and HM Land Registry portals is desirable.
Contract Details
- Full-time (35 hours/week), Monday to Friday.
- Salary: depending on experience.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
