Job Description

DataNet IT is seeking an Outside Sales Specialist to increase sales and generate revenue on our west coast territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and expanding a portfolio of corporate clients, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads.  Applicants must have experience with Small and Medium sized Enterprises around the Bay Area.

The Outside Sales Specialist will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue. If you have prior experience in outside sales and a desire to expand your career, we want to hear from you.

Must Have:

 

  • Ability to assess client IT needs and makes appropriate recommendations, including IT equipment and service packages.
  • Ability to position the company and its product and service offerings creatively.
  • Demonstrates ability to negotiates sales,  and long-term contracts with clients.
  • Ability to provide technical advice after sales.
Responsibilities Include:

 

 

  • Position the company and its product and service offerings creatively.
  • Develop sales opportunities (staffing and product sale) by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, and preparing quotes.
  • Make outgoing client calls in support of the organization's sales requirements.
  • Attend training and webinars, as directed.
  • Build sustained relationships with client managers.
  • Be very involved in preparing, managing and submitting sales quotes accurately to customers.
  • Research technical information on product requests and ensure access to procurement.
  • Ensure all client purchase orders/credit card orders are entered, configured.
  • Ensure correct and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Keep management informed of any problems and final resolution of issue.
