Your new role
As Head of Finance, you will report directly to the Finance Director and lead a dedicated team of five finance professionals. You'll be responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations, including payroll, management accounts, budgeting, statutory reporting, and audit preparation. You'll also play a key role in strategic financial planning and support new business development through financial modelling and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and mentoring the finance team
Overseeing payroll, expenses, and month-end processes
Preparing and reviewing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting the Finance Director with budgeting and statutory accounts
Reporting to senior leadership alongside the Finance Director
Liaising with external auditors and funders
Attending Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee meetings

What you'll need to succeed

CCAB-qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience managing finance teams and delivering high-quality financial reporting
Strong analytical and communication skills
Charity sector experience
