Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Purpose:

To control and improve Operations Performance at Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

General and Key Task Management -

* VSM will be responsible for managing projects with cross functional focal.

* Capacity Planning within budgeted manning and cost levels.

* Production planning to master production schedule and program requirements.

* Liaising with key stake holders within other value streams and support functions to ensure timely delivery of components so that customer demand is satisfied.

* Optimising work flow and layout in conjunction with Engineering, Quality and Continuous Improvement.

* Ensuring all company and regulatory quality, health and safety requirements are maintained and improved.

* Ensuring correct and timely usage of MRP system by all functions within the value stream.

* Performing data analysis to encourage improved performance and generate positive KPIs and Targets.

* Driving a continuous improvement culture within the value stream.

* Drive year on year manufacturing efficiencies to cope with business growth.

* Advise business leaders on required Capital expenditure to enable company improvements.

* Maintaining and reporting on Weekly Key performance indicators to Senior Management.

* Holiday management and planning.

* Administration and reporting as necessary.

**This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. The successful job holder will be expected to perform varying tasks as required by their line manager & the overall objectives of the organisation.

Key Performance Measures -

* Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and staff KPI's as per production control process.

* Delivery of budgeted KPI's.

Knowledge, Education, and Skills

Knowledge:

Essential

* Proven working knowledge of planning systems including MRP / ERP systems

Education & Professional Experience -

Essential

* 3+ Years management/supervisory experience in a highly-regulated Engineering/Manufacturing environment.

* Proven experience of driving continuous improvement.

Desirable

* Degree or 3rd Level Qualification in a relevant Discipline is desirable.

Skills and competencies

* A self - starter with strong communication skills and a diplomatic working style.

* Computer literacy is essential especially an excellent understanding of MS Word and Excel.

Other material requirements

* Limited travel among sites may be required to support business functions and visits. Some international travel may also be required to support the needs of the business.
