MSI Recruitment has an opportunity for a Head of Occupational Therapy at a state-of-the-art Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) hospital in Coventry. The service supports young people aged between 12 and 18 with mental health needs in low secure, psychiatric intensive care, and acute environments.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the occupational therapy team, consisting of 4 Occupational Therapists and 3 assistants.
• Serve as an integral member of the senior management team within the hospital, supporting and contributing to quality improvement initiatives and service development.
• Maintain direct clinical responsibility for occupational therapy provision on Dragon ward, ideally bringing Sensory Integration experience.

Requirements for the Role

• Registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
• Experience working with CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
• Current experience as a Band 5 or Band 6 OT
• Strong understanding of Occupational Therapy processes and interventions, with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
• Passionate about student education
• Confident IT skills
• Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check, with employment contingent on successful clearance
