Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development within the Reception class, including:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of activities that promote early development across all areas of learning
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication development
- Working with small groups and individuals to reinforce learning and provide targeted support
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
- Observing and contributing to the assessment of children's progress
- Promoting positive behaviour and modelling good social interactions
- Supporting children with additional needs, where required
- Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, and daily routines
The Ideal Candidate Will:- Have experience working within an Early Years or Reception setting
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting young children
- Be proactive and able to use initiative within the classroom
- Work well as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community
- Have strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
