We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Northfield. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons. As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring every pupil receives the individual support they need to succeed academically and personally.

As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:

• Supporting planned learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assisting in lesson planning and providing feedback on pupil progress.
• Monitoring and recording student development and behaviour.
• Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions where required.
• Preparing classroom materials and maintaining a safe, organised learning space.
• Communicating effectively with teachers, senior staff, and parents about student progress.

To be successful in this Year 2 Teaching Assistant role, you should have:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
