TSR Legal are currently working in partnership with a well-established, client-focused law firm based in Cardiff, who are seeking a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their dedicated residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in conveyancing support who is looking to further their career within a reputable and growing firm.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in supporting fee earners with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to post-completion. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Assisting with the day-to-day management of conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
• 
  Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts, and completion statements
• 
  Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors
• 
  Carrying out Land Registry and property searches
• 
  Managing post-completion tasks including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
• 
  Opening and closing files, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and regulatory standards
• 
  Providing general administrative support to the fee earner and wider team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 
  Minimum 12 months' experience in a conveyancing support role (essential)
• 
  Familiarity with the full conveyancing process and terminology
• 
  Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• 
  Strong IT skills, with experience using case management systems
• 
  The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 
  A proactive, organised approach and high attention to detail
