Are you an experienced and committed SENCO ready to lead inclusive education with passion and purpose? Teach Now is proud to partner with a dynamic and progressive school in Hackney in search of an inspiring SENCO to join their team from September 2025.

Nestled in the vibrant borough of Hackney, this all-through school caters to students from Primary through Key Stage 5. The Role:

As SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the SEND strategy from EYFS to Post-16
• Overseeing EHCPs, IEPs, and intervention plans
• Line managing a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and Learning Mentors
• Working closely with families, external agencies, and school leaders to ensure inclusive access to learning
• Promoting a whole-school culture of understanding, empathy, and support for all learners
• This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Who We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and National SENCO Award (or willingness to complete it)
• Proven experience in a SENCO or similar SEND leadership role
• A deep understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A passionate advocate for students with additional needs
