Are you a pension professional with experience working in an IFA firm or pension provider? NJR Recruitment is currently supporting a successful and respected financial planning business seeking a Group Pension Scheme Administrator to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in GPPs, DC pensions, or auto-enrolment schemes, who enjoys working in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Please note, this is not a payroll or HR role — we’re looking for someone who has direct experience supporting advisers or clients within a financial services setting.
The Role:
As a Group Pension Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the firm’s corporate clients and advisers with the ongoing delivery of pension and benefit schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering group pension arrangements, including GPPs, auto-enrolment, and DC schemes
- Processing new joiners, leavers, contribution updates, and member queries
- Liaising with advisers, providers, and corporate clients
- Ensuring scheme documentation is up to date and FCA compliant
- Preparing client communications, renewal packs, and reports
- Supporting ad-hoc scheme reviews, provider comparisons, and illustrations
- Logging and resolving technical or compliance queries
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in an IFA, employee benefits consultancy, or pension provider (not in payroll or HR departments)
- Confident with Group Personal Pensions (GPPs), DC schemes, and Auto-Enrolment processes
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and client communication
- Comfortable working with providers such as Aviva, Standard Life, Royal London, etc.
- Familiarity with platforms like Intelligent Office (desirable)
- Knowledge of PMI, healthcare, or group protection schemes would be a bonus
