Some pupils need more than just a lesson plan—they need you.
We're looking for a calm, consistent, and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing Bradford school setting. If you're the kind of person who builds trust, sees beyond the behaviour, and shows up with patience every day, this role could be a perfect fit.

What the role involves:

Supporting individual pupils or small groups with SEMH needs

Helping pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning

Using trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation strategies

Building meaningful relationships and modelling calm behaviour

Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral teams

What we're looking for:

Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behaviour (school-based or other settings)

A resilient, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Team player mindset—you'll be part of a caring, collaborative staff community

Relevant training (Team Teach, MAPA, Thrive) is a bonus—but not essential
