Primary Intervention Teacher

Salary: £500 - £700 / weekly

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher to support a primary school in the Sunderland area. You should have knowledge and experience delivering small group intervention.

  • Start date November 2020 - June 2021
  • Reading and Writing support needed
  • Part time (2-4 days per week)
  • Temporary contact (in line with the government tuition funding)

The school can be challenging, so having excellent behaviour management would be advantageous. This is a two-from entry and you will be supported from the staff from the start, the school encourages all pupils to succeed and has excellent measures in place to help those students who may be struggling to achieve their potential. Rated 'Good' in their last Ofsted report, the Head Teacher does have ambition to improve on this with the calibre of teaching staff.

  • Qualified teacher (newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply for this role)
  • Experience leading intervention groups to small groups of pupils and 1:1 support
  • Excellent behaviour management
  • Strong Key Stage 2 curriculm knowledge
  • Adaptive and can support children with varying abilities
  • Competitive rates between £500-£700 (pro-rata) paid weekly
  • Must hold a valid DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
