Position Overview: The role of the Sr. Business Development Manager for Shoes For Crews is to develop and pursue new business opportunities across a defined geographic market and targeted verticals. The Sr. Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets and assigned strategic account objectives. The Sr. Business Development Manager will maximize new business growth using a Top Down sector approach, building a robust pipeline and ensuring new customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. Key Responsibilities: Leverage our comprehensive safety solution and product line to generate new Tier 1 customers in a defined geographic market. Understands the components of profitability in our business as well as the importance of profitable growth. Build pipeline of Tier 1 account prospects via the telephone, B2B marketing, social selling, targeted lists or industry data. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate (verbally/written) our corporate capabilities. Lead corporate new business growth activities, including opportunity identification, business development, capture management, proposal development and pipeline growth. Develop and conduct a customer engagement strategy, face to face meetings, and industry events. Develop and organize information in a format to successfully manage a sales project such as proposals, RFP response, business plan, capabilities overview, testimonials, case studies and ROI analysis to generate sales. Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth plan. Build, manage and optimize B2B relationships Execute sales tactics and strategies to effectively manage pipeline into winning outcomes. Work with economic buyers and other buying influences across a diverse segment profile. Accountabilities and Performance Measures: Achieves assigned sales targets. Meets assigned expectations for profitability. Implement a customer facing territory plan to accelerate new business growth. Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company leadership. Completes strategic account plans that meet company standards. Maintains high new customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards. Completes required training and development objectives within assigned time frame. Organizational Alignment: Reports to the Vice President of Business Development Enlists the support of sales support, business development team, implementation resources, product managers, and other sales and management resources as needed. Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management. Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Build relationships with the Sales Support, Operations, Business Development Specialists, Retail, and business support employees to achieve our mission. Display Leadership. Inspire others to achieve the company objectives and hold them accountable for high standards of performance. Make our sales team effective and hold individuals to account. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA is a plus 5-7 years’ experience in selling complex B2B enterprise accounts Solid analytical skills and financial acumen with the ability to balance the constraints of the business model while remaining creative and resourceful in meeting company’s needs Experience in competitive analysis and price-to-win analysis The ability to thrive in a competitive, results-driven environment is essential Demonstrated ability to develop relevant strategic plans and successfully execute related tactical objectives. 5 years of proven B2B sales experience with complex, multi-location accounts Professional written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficient with a leading CRM solution (preferably Salesforce.com), Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Current valid driver’s license with a safe driving record Position will require overnight travel of 7-10 nights per month. This may vary higher and lower as business demands.
