Our client is a leading independent accountancy practice with a strong reputation across the North West.Their Tax Team works with a diverse client base including owner-managed, private equity-backed and AIM-listed businesses, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services.Joining means becoming part of a collaborative, ambitious, and supportive culture where your career will be invested in at every stage.

Your new role:

As a Tax Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of some of the firm's most complex clients, acting as a key point of contact and delivering timely and accurate corporation tax compliance services.While the role is predominantly compliance-focused, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to advisory projects, business development opportunities, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of corporation tax to deliver high-quality client service
  • Review tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff
  • Manage a diverse portfolio, including owner-managed, PE-backed and AIM-listed clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their training and development
  • Identify opportunities to add value through advisory services and internal referrals
  • Ensure quality standards and timely delivery of tax engagements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • CTA and/or ACA qualified with at least 2 years' post-qualified experience
  • Strong corporation tax compliance and tax accounting expertise
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with a drive to deliver results
