Creche Supervisor, 32 Hours Per Week, Part Time Job Description: Our Creche Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of the childcare facility within TW2 Kids. Ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children. You will lead a team of Creche Assistants, maintain high standards of care and create a fun and engaging environment through structured activities, and serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.Core Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and rota staff effectively to maintain appropriate adult to child ratios. Be fully involved with HR policies and procedures where required supporting the General Manager.
- Compliance: Ensure the setting meets all local childcare regulations, company health and safety standards, and safeguarding protocols.
- Administration: Manage bookings, maintain accurate attendance records, and oversee the collection of fees where applicable.
- Environment: Ensure the creche is clean, well organised, and stocked with age appropriate resources and equipment.
- Revenue Drive secondary revenue through the organisation of events, birthday parties. Take part in outreach events and activities to drive new business into the club.
Child Care & Development
- Activity Planning, Design and implement a diverse range of play based activities that support physical, social, and emotional development.
- Safety & Welfare, Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and ensure all staff are trained in emergency procedures and first aid.
- Individual Needs: Monitor the well-being of every child or additional support needs.
Parental & Community Relations
- Communication, Conduct daily handovers with parents, providing feedback on their child's day and any notable milestones.
- Conflict Resolution, Address parental concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A recognised qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare e.g., NVQ Level 3 or higher, or equivalent.
- Experience, Proven experience working in a professional childcare setting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Certifications
- Valid Pediatric First Aid certificate preferred but not essential
- Enhanced background check e.g., DBS in the UK.
- Soft Skills, Exceptional patience, strong leadership abilities, and the energy to keep up with young children while staying calm under pressure.
