Reed are delighted to be working with a commercial business based in who provide a range of products and services to large organisations, small and mid sized enterprises and the public sector. 

We have been approached to support them with their search to hire a new Management Accountant. Reporting into the Director of Finance, and working within a dedicated finance team, your remit will be to oversee the delivery of high quality accounting services for our client and support the Director of Finance in management reporting to various internal and external stakeholders.

As the appointed Management Accountant, your duties and responsibilities will include :   

• Ensure that the management reporting process are run effectively and efficiently and that relevant timescales are adhered to.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and key performance indicators to budget holders and senior management.
• Manage the completion of the Annual Report and Accounts, including the management of relationships with a range of stakeholders. 
• Work with individual budget holders to produce the annual budget and review actual performance against budget and to foster a greater understanding of the financial implications of their decisions.
• Oversee the provision of the accounts receivable function ensuring that invoices are accurately raised and debts appropriately collected.
• Oversee the provision of the accounts payable function ensuring that invoices are accurately processed and paid appropriately.
• Ensure that the transactional processing of all accounting entries are effectively managed to aid the timely preparation of management and statutory accounts.

Your background, skillsets and experience will include :

• Over 5 years experience performing a management accounting position. Our client is open to sector experience.

• Our client has a preference to hire a CIMA qualified professional, but would be open to candidates with the necessary experience, who are CIMA part qualified.
