Family Solicitor

• Annual Salary: £60,000
• Location: Hereford or Bristol
• Job Type: Full-time, Office Based

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Paralegal to join our clients team. This role offers the opportunity to build on your expertise and make a significant impact in the lives of our clients, focusing on a variety of family law matters. The position is based in our clients Hereford office but may also involve work in their Bristol location.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Represent and advise clients in various family matters including contentious cases concerning divorce, domestic violence, family estates, child contact, and adoption.
• Represent parties in care proceedings on behalf of parents or children.
• Work closely with the team, including the Managing Director, paralegals, secretaries, and other support staff.
• Provide advice to clients in person, via telephone, or video conference.
• Draft and review legal documents.
• Represent clients in court and in mediation, as well as other forms of Non-Court Dispute Resolution.
• Establish a compelling position for clients, using a complete and accurate understanding of the matter and family law.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Paralegal.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently manage a caseload.
• Professional, organised, competent, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
• Capable of working with other fee earners and seeking advice to develop knowledge and skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and client care through regular file reviews with a senior Solicitor.
