An established and growing fire consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their expanding team.

This Fire Engineer opportunity offers the chance for a Fire Engineer to work within multidisciplinary environments across a variety of sectors, contributing to a diverse and technically challenging project portfolio during a period of sustained growth.

The Fire Engineer's Role

The Fire Engineer will play a key role in delivering fire safety solutions across the full building lifecycle, from initial design through to in-occupation services. Responsibilities include:

Preparing fire strategy reports and supporting design development
Advising clients on compliance with UK legislation, including the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, and Fire Safety Order
Undertaking fire risk analysis and recommending appropriate control measures
Collaborating with internal design teams on multidisciplinary projects
Working across a diverse portfolio of sectors and building types
Supporting the planning and coordination of site inspections and remedial works
Conducting site visits, recording findings, and preparing schedules of work and specifications
Monitoring project progress on site to ensure compliance with design intent
Providing clear and practical guidance on Building Regulations applications relating to fire safety
Applying a methodical approach to problem-solving within tight deadlines and budgets
Supporting or contributing to fire risk assessments where suitably qualifiedThe Fire Engineer

The successful Fire Engineer will demonstrate a strong understanding of fire safety principles, legislation, and industry best practice within the UK.

Key requirements:

Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and fire safety legislation
Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (or working towards)
Progression towards professional registration with the Engineering Council
Experience working within a consultancy or similar environment
Strong communication and organisational skillsIn Return?
