We are pleased to be working with an excellent client based in Altrincham who are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team on a permanent basis. This role would suit someone who is actively studying AAT (already level 2 as a minimum) and that is looking for an all rounded, varied role - reporting into the financial controller within the company.

Duties include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Weekly payment runs
• Matching and coding purchase invoices
• Full end to end payroll; monthly and weekly staff, including processing all expenses and bonuses
• Support HR with holidays/sickness etc
• Assist with month end duties such as accruals, prepayments and journals
• Assist the FC with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT and CIS returns
• Assist with ad hoc duties within accounts.
