Monday-Friday Double Days (6-2 / 2-10) + Weekend Call-Out Cover

Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer that is making a huge investment in the factory over the next 5 years. Due to this growth and new production lines being installed, they are looking to grow the engineering function with the addition of new facilities engineers to look after the facilities, site services & utilities side of the operation.

Role & Responsibilities:

Support all manufacturing operations across the site services, utilities & facilities areas
Servicing & repairing utilities equipment - HVAC, industrial boilers, AHU's, power supplies, effluent & water treatment plant, building services
Currently installing a £1.2m water treatment plant - be part of this project
Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
Daily utilities & facilities checks and completing associated paperwork
Small amount of plumbing work
Support the maintenance engineers when needed on any production line breakdowns
Maintaining the building services on site - lighting, power, data systems
Manage the BMS and CMMS systems
Identify any areas of improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Must be an engineer - role would suit someone that has been a site services engineer / facilities engineer / utilities engineer / BMS engineer
NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualified in engineering
Ideally have completed a time-served apprenticeship
Must have worked on boilers, chillers, effluent & water treatment plant, HVAC, AHU's
Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills - able to work on your own unsupervised
Knowledge of BMS systems
Experience of carrying out minor plumbing work
Previously have carried out utilities / site services daily checks and testing
Must be happy covering a weekend call-out / standby cover when needed (additional payments)
Ideally have completed small installation projects
Beneficial to have worked in a facilities / site services team in a food / FMCG manufacturer
Happy to help out in production line breakdowns when needed
