HGV Technician needed

Our client, a well established Truck dealer, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers' trucks. Fault finding, and carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes brakes, suspension systems etc.

Role: HGV Technician

Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm, Mon to Fri + 1 in 3 Saturdays

Location: Carlisle

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer's procedures, safely and responsibly

* Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with Standard Times

* Assist in the fault diagnosis process

* Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair

* Work with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted

* Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence)

* Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accurately

Requirements:

* City and Guilds /level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance

* experience working on commercial vehicles

* IT literate

* Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic/PSV Mechanic

* LGV C + E licence beneficial not essential. HGV/PSV licence an advantage
