Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them grow both academically and emotionally? We are looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the NP20 area. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a crucial stage in children's development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support to Year 2 pupils across all areas of the curriculum.

Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions (1:1 and small group).

Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource setting.

Encourage a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe and valued.

Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, structured classroom atmosphere.

Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN specialists to support individual learning needs.

✅ What We're Looking For

A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a genuine desire to support children.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Confidence in behaviour management and following school policies.

Previous classroom experience is desirable but not essential.

An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
