SME Account Handler required to join a major insurance broker to strengthen one of its broking teams in Leeds.

As Account Handler operating within a well-established SME team, you will be expected to place and renew business on behalf of a range of clients including construction, retailers, property owners and professional clients and predominately dealing with clients paying annual premiums up to around 10K GWP. The key aspects of this role will entail negotiating renewal terms, any alternations to cover mid-term as well as cover extensions. You will be dealing with all classes of insurance including PI, Liability, Commercial Property, Motor Fleet and Commercial Combined. Furthermore, you will also be involved in carrying out relevant checks, ensuring correct documentation is submitted to clients. You will also deal with any day-to-day general queries and manage the whole renewal process with clients from start to finish.

It’s expected that you will be able to bring some previous experience of the insurance sector, and ideally have a good understanding of general insurance products such as Liability or Property Insurance. It’s also important you can engage with clients effectively whilst being able to demonstrate strong client relationship management skills.
