About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a reputable provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a children's residential home in Sutton. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to young people, including those with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), while ensuring the home achieves and maintains 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.

  • Manage audits, Reg 44 visits, care planning, risk assessments, and health and safety compliance.

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

  • Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people.

  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance to maintain care standards.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with multi-agency professionals, referrers, and stakeholders.

  • Promote a child-focused approach, ensuring the best outcomes for young people.

About You

  • Essential:

    • Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People).

    • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Registered Manager in children's services.

    • Proven track record of managing Ofsted-registered homes with 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.

    • Strong understanding of care standards, child protection, and experience working with EBD.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Competency in care planning, risk assessments, and health and safety compliance.

  • Desirable:

    • Experience in driving continuous improvement in residential care settings.

    • Ability to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and professional development.
